Finding Purpose
Until pretty much just now, I haven’t blogged for quite a while. I used to blog all things free-from but you know how sometimes you start to evolve and you get a bit lost?? For me there are a range of reasons for losing my way a little. Most of all, life simply took over.
So a bit about me... I have two babies ( they wouldn’t say they were babies so much these days) but in my eyes, they’ll always be my little bubbas. Anyway my youngest Thea is almost 5 (in just 3 days time) and my eldest Kobe is 6.
I’m married to one of the sweetest, kindest and most supportive guys I’ve ever known (He will no doubt blush when he reads this.) I have a kinda rare autoimmune which when I turned 25, pretty much took over my life. I went from happy go lucky to well and truly hitting rock bottom and having to rebuild my life.
It wasn’t such a bad thing as I kept as positive a mindset as I could along the way and I can honestly say that I feel blessed.
It was one of those life changing times that I can really say had to happen and that in the end was actually the best thing that could have and needed to happen to me.
So much happened that pulled me in so many directions in my life. I can honestly say, I stayed positive as much as I could.
So much of the time, I didn’t know what would happen but when you believe that in life everything happens for a reason, you know that your focus is to seek that reason and live it.
That’s pretty much what I did and do day in and day out.
I’m not going to say it’s always easy, but I’m forever grateful to have my life just the way it is.
Through good and bad, happy and sad, I know that ultimately if I live my truth daily then this experience of my life now as it is, is exactly what I make of it.
For me most days are really about learning the best way to manage my health and wellness. I suffer from neuropathic pain daily which has occurred due to NMO. The pain can really hinder my day to day life but for me it’s mostly about knowing how to manage it the best way for me. Things like getting more sleep, exercising, eating right for me and most of all mindfulness are what really help me daily. I’m also really into using eco-friendly and sustainable products because what we put out, we get back and quite frankly I just want to help the environment for my children and the future.
I mentioned earlier that I believe that everything happens for a reason and I can honestly say that if not for NMO, I wouldn’t have It’s All About You.
My business is my pride and joy. I started it to help others. To put out good and to show you all that you can manage your own health and wellness. By putting myself and my business out there, I hope that it will help me to fulfil what I feel I’m here to do.
“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honourable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”
